¿What is Mission to the World ?
 

Is the mission-sending agency of the Presbyterian Church in America, helping to fulfill the Great Commission by advancing Reformed and covenantal church-planting movements through word and deed in strategic areas worldwide.

Mission to the World works together with the National Presbyterian Church of Mexico in church-planting and missionary labor in several parts of the country.

Two aspects of our work:

  • Word. the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ in all of its fullness.
  • Deed. the demonstration of the gospel through meeting physical, emotional, social or cultural needs, in the context of church planting.

Mission to the World Northern Mexico

With our headquarters in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, we are the regional office of Mission to the World for the north zone of the country.

Currently, we have missionary work in several cities of Northern Mexico, such as Monterrey itself, Ciudad Victoria, Saltillo and San Fernando.

Our goal is to have in each one of Northern Mexico main cities, al least, a church-planting movement, which could extend gradually and in a natural way itoward the surrounding sub-urban and rural zones.

The purpose is that the church-planting movement in every city could be the vehicle for the society and individuals transformation, through churches focused in the reconciling gospel of the grace of Jesus Christ.

In addition, we are begin to train and send missionaries to other parts of the world.

 
 
 
 

 

  
 

Mexico is a country in which the 80% of the population lives in an urban center and this is even more evident in the north.

Poverty and lack of job opportunities cause a constant migration from rural and sub-urban areas to these centers, which at the same time, are paradoxically in certain cases such as Monterrey, an example of globalization and international connections.

In the North of Mexico there are still cities with more of 250 thousand people without any Reformed church, so there is great need to share the love of God and develop church founding movements to impact this generation
