Lost? an "extreme" youth camp

It was not the “rappelling descending”, the professional archery workshop or the almost 328 feet fall in the Tylorean rope which did of this camp an “extreme” experience for the young attendants.

Actually, these activities become only a playtime before the real challenge: the one that presents Jesus' Gospel to our lives.

Almost 40 young men and women from several churches supported by the MTW Northern Mexico church-planting participated in the camp “Lost?”, the first one of Youth Mobilization ministry.

The emphasis of the camp was the central message of the Gospel, to understand that without Jesus we are lost.

Whether that we are looking only for our pleasure and benefit in a selfish way or that we believe that we can save ourselves by our own righteousness and works, we are equally lost. Only Jesus can save us is all of grace and not because we deserve it.

We analyzed this in the camp, for example, in Jesus' parable of the prodigal son, where the youngest child goes so selfish to squander his inheritance, while the other consider himself as a "good" person but only works at his father's home to make profits and enjoy them with his friends.

In fact, none of two children loved really the Father and both needed the grace and the God's love to be excused and restored. But the love of Jesus can make us worthy and give direction to our lives.
